The following students were named to the Dean's List at Paul Smith's College during the fall 2016 semester. Each earned a semester average of 3.3 or higher to receive this distinction.

SUNY New Paltz announces its Dean's List for the fall 2016 semester, a recognition for students who excel academically and earn at least a 3.3 grade-point average in a semester with a full-time course load.

University of Scranton announced more than 1,500 students named to The University of Scranton's Dean's List for the 2016 fall semester. The Dean's List recognizes students for academic excellence.

A total of 1,515 SUNY Oneonta students earned Dean's List honors for the fall 2016 semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, a student must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher while carrying a course load of 12 hours or more.

Students who have completed at least 12 credit hours and who have a GPA of 3.5 or higher qualify for the dean's list at Buffalo State. We are pleased to recognize the following students who attained this honor in the Fall 2016 semester.

Bucknell University has released the dean's list for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2016-17 academic year. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean's list recognition.

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) student-athletes Mikaela DiBello and Taylor Clinkhave been chosen to the 2016 Longstreth / NFHCA (National Field Hockey Coaches Association) Division III North Atlantic All-Region First and Second Teams, respectively. DiBello, a sophomore, is now eligible for Division III All-America consideration which will be announced in early December.

Twenty-eight members of SUNY Oneonta's Zeta Beta Tau fraternity chapter helped organize SUNY Oneonta's third annual Gift of Life Bone Marrow Donor Registration Drive on Oct. 26 and 27.

A book featuring autobiographical vignettes by 29 Latino SUNY Oneonta students and recent alumni won two awards at the Latino Literacy Now's International Latino Book Awards. Titled "Mi vida en los Estados Unidos, jovenes hispanohablantes cuentan sus experiencias" ("My Life in the United States, Young Hispanic Heritage Language Speakers Write About Their Experiences"), the book is a collection of common experiences growing up with two languages and two cultures, and similar life struggles.

Students and faculty from the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences presented research at the annual meeting of the Geological Society of America, held September 25-29 in Denver, Colorado.

Buffalo State is pleased to welcome the Class of 2020 to campus. The new Bengals started class on August 29, 2016.

Loyola University Maryland welcomed the members of its class of 2020. As first-year students embark on their college experience, they will all take part in Loyola's living learning program, Messina. The common text for Messina is How to Win an Election, Quintus Tullius Cicero's letter to his brother, Marcus Cicero, a candidate for Consul (the highest office in the Roman church) in 64 B.C.

In August, Champlain College welcomed the class of 2020 to its Burlington, Vt. campus.

James Madison University is excited to welcome the class of 2020 to campus this month. The incoming freshman class represents an accomplished, diverse group of individuals who hail from 33 states, the District of Columbia and 19 countries around the world.

This fall, SUNY Oneonta will welcome approximately 1,100 freshmen and 600 new transfer students hailing from across New York, as well as from 12 other states and countries. New students moved in on Aug. 24, and the fall 2016 semester starts Aug. 29. Our newest Red Dragons will officially join the Oneonta family when they walk through the historic pillars of Old Main during the traditional Pass Through the Pillars ceremony on the campus quad the night before classes begin.

At the University of Rhode Island's 130th Commencement on Saturday and Sunday, May 21-22, 2016, about 3,300 undergraduate and 700 graduate students became the University's newest alumni.
