More than 3,000 new and transfer students began their higher education at Hudson Valley Community College when the fall semester began on Monday, Aug. 27.

On Saturday August 18th, 2018 over 250 first-year UVM students, led by 74 upper class leaders, began their University of Vermont experience as part of TREK, a unique, 7-day first year enrichment program sponsored by UVM's Department of Student Life. For 39 years, UVM's TREK program has sent new students all over the state of Vermont to explore the region's wilderness, develop leadership skills, and work on community service projects. TREK is one of the biggest and most diverse new-student, collegiate, community building programs in the northeast region.

Belmont University kicked off classes for its fall 2018 semester with a record-breaking enrollment number as the University welcomed 8,318 students to campus, nearly triple the enrollment in 2000 and marking a 65 percent increase in the last decade alone. This marks Belmont's 18th consecutive year of record enrollment.

Loyola University Maryland has announced the members of its spring 2018 Dean's List. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum QPA of at least 3.500 for the term, provided that, in the term they have successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits.

A total of 1,445 SUNY Oneonta students earned Dean's List honors for the spring 2018 semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, a student must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher while carrying a course load of 12 hours or more.

The Western New England University chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma National Honor Society welcomed 23 students at the University's annual induction ceremony which took place on April 10 in the Downes Athletic Hall of Fame.

More than 800 Monroe College students were named to the President's List for the Fall 2017 semester. At Monroe, the President's List is comprised of full-time students who have completed and excelled in their coursework, earning a grade point average of 3.80 or above over the course of the semester.

The State University of New York at Geneseo has announced its Dean's List for the spring semester 2018. To be on the list, a student must have achieved at least a 3.5 grade point average while taking a minimum of 12 credit hours.

James Madison University is pleased to announce the names of the students who made the dean's list for the spring 2018 semester. Students who earn dean's list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of between 3.5 and 3.899.

Miami University's Project Dragonfly has admitted a new cohort of students to its global master's degree, the Global Field Program (GFP). These graduate students, who live throughout the United States and abroad, combine collaborative work in Dragonfly's web-based learning communities with work at conservation sites in Africa, Australia, Asia and the Americas.
