Nearly 520 students received bachelor degrees from St. Lawrence University during Commencement ceremonies held on May 20 in Canton, New York.

To be named to the dean's list, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.

The University of Scranton conferred more than 890 bachelor's and associate's degrees at its undergraduate commencement on May 27 at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre. Very Reverend Timothy P. Kesicki, S.J., president of the Jesuit Conference of Canada and the United States, read the remarks of the principal speaker Most Reverend George V. Murry, S.J., Bishop of the Diocese of Youngstown, who was unable to attend the ceremony in person because he is undergoing treatment for a form of acute leukemia. Both Father Kesicki and Bishop Murry, in absentia, received honorary degrees from the University. Honorary degrees were also presented to Sister Ann Walsh, I.H.M., former CEO and current assistant director of Friends of the Poor; William Whitaker, founding president of the Washington Jesuit Academy, Washington. D.C.; and Cecelia Lynett Haggerty, Times-Shamrock Communications and former University trustee.

Phi Alpha Delta is the honor society for students studying law.

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) student-athletes Mikaela DiBello and Shanny Lin have both been selected to the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District Men's and Women's At-Large teams, selected by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America). DiBello is a junior who plays field hockey and Lin is a senior who competes in swimming and both advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America ballot, with first- and second-team Academic All-America honorees to be announced in June.

Bucknell University has released the dean's list for outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2017-18 academic year. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean's list recognition.

Delta Epsilon Sigma is the national scholastic honor society for students in Catholic colleges and universities.

Alpha Kappa Alpha membership is the highest award granted to Siena College graduates.

The 2018 Siena College Senior Awards honor the commitment and dedication that the class of 2018 has shown to their studies.

More than 200 SUNY Oneonta students were selected to present at the 2018 SUNY Undergraduate Research Conference (SURC), hosted by SUNY Oneonta on April 20. Students from 28 SUNY colleges and universities presented 179 research projects in two poster sessions, and another 100 projects in oral presentations throughout the day. Every spring, SURC brings together undergraduate researchers and faculty mentors for two daylong programs of presentations, performances, art displays and poster sessions held on two separate campuses. The second SURC event was April 21, at Monroe Community College in Rochester.

Approximately 1,183 students were eligible to walk in Coastal Carolina University's graduation exercises, held on campus at the HTC Student Recreation Center and Convocation Center in three separate ceremonies May 4-5.

Siena's annual Student Leadership and Involvement awards ceremony honors students and faculty who have positively impacted the community through their words and actions. These awards are presented to those who have excelled academically, while maintaining their active role in various organizations and clubs. Each individual has incorporated the Franciscan traditions and values into their lives by serving and respecting our Siena community.

Students representing every department in the School of Business delivered research papers divided into several tracks. A review panel selected the best papers and presentations.

Buffalo State is proud to recognize the undergraduate students who have completed at least 45 credit hours (30 credit hours for transfer students) at Buffalo State and achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA.

Forty members of SUNY OnMark, SUNY Oneonta's Chapter of the American Marketing Association, attended the American Marketing Association's 40th Annual International Collegiate Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, where they earned an impressive award and gained professional development. After a long drive, challenging competitions, and a year of hard work, the club was awarded 7th place in the 'Chapter of the Year' competition out of about 400 colleges and universities. They also received an honorable mention for the excellence of their website.

University of Scranton students inducted into Omicron Delta Epsilon, the international honor society in economics. The University's chapter of the honor society was established in 1969.

SUNY New Paltz recognizes students who participated in the "Every 28 Hours Plays," which was presented on Feb. 10 and Feb. 11.

The following students are participating in an off-campus study abroad program for the Spring 2018 semester through St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York.

Purchase College announced that more than 1,200 students were named to the Dean's List for the fall 2017 semester. Students who have earned this academic honor have maintained a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher and taken a minimum of 12 credits.

Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

Loyola University Maryland has announced the members of its fall 2017 Dean's List. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum QPA of at least 3.500 for the term, provided that, in the term they have successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits.

More than 300 students met requirements for graduation from SUNY Oneonta following the Fall 2017 semester. Graduates were honored at a December recognition ceremony hosted by College President Nancy Kleniewski and held in the Dewar Arena of the Alumni Field House. They also are eligible to participate in the college's commencement on May 12.

Western New England University congratulates 734 students named to the Fall 2017-2018 Dean's List. Students are named to the Dean's List for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.30 or higher.

The State University of New York at Geneseo has announced its Dean's List for the fall semester 2017. To be on the list, a student must have achieved at least a 3.5 grade point average while taking a minimum of 12 credit hours.
