SUNY New Paltz announces its Dean's List for the fall 2017 semester, a recognition for students who excel academically and earn at least a 3.3 grade-point average in a semester with a full-time course load.

The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce that 5,500 undergraduates have qualified for the fall 2017 Dean's List. The students represent nearly all of Rhode Island's cities and towns, all six New England states, New York and New Jersey, and many other states and nations.

To be named to the dean's list, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.

Students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher who have completed at least 12 credit hours qualify for the dean's list at Buffalo State. We are pleased to recognize the following students who attained this honor in the Fall 2017 semester.

Coastal Carolina University has announced that 814 students made the President's honor list for high academic achievement for the 2017 Fall Semester. To qualify for the President's List, students must earn a 4.0 grade point average and must be enrolled full time.

A total of 1,534 SUNY Oneonta students earned Dean's List honors for the fall 2017 semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, a student must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher while carrying a course load of 12 hours or more.

SUNY Canton recognizes part-time students for academic achievement during the fall 2017 semester.

Bucknell University has released the dean's list for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2017-18 academic year. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean's list recognition.

For the second consecutive season, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) student-athletes Mikaela DiBello and Taylor Clink have been chosen to the Longstreth / NFHCA (National Field Hockey Coaches Association) Division III North Atlantic All-Region First and Second Teams, respectively. DiBello, a junior, is now eligible for Division III All-America consideration which will be announced in early December.

The SUNY New Paltz School of Business unveiled a new debate format this semester to better serve the nearly 100 students who participate in this annual event.

Now in its 41st year, Majors' Night offers the department's undergraduates the opportunity to network with alumni who return to campus for the event, where they share their experiences and offer advice to current students.

The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) field hockey team landed three student-athletes on the year-end All-Liberty League squads with junior Mickaela DiBello being chosen to the First Team. Classmate Taylor Clink earned Second Team recognition and senior Megan Jones was tabbed an Honorable Mention.

More than 3,000 new and transfer students began their higher education at Hudson Valley Community College when the fall semester began on Monday, Aug. 28.

The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) field hockey roster has been set and the Engineers have seven seniors, seven juniors, five sophomores and six freshmen. RPI (1-4) looks for its second straight win when it travels to New Jersey to play Montclair State on Sunday (2pm).

James Madison University is excited to welcome the class of 2021 to campus this month. The incoming freshman class represents an accomplished, diverse group of individuals who hail from 40 states and 29 countries around the world.

Coastal Carolina University's held a commencement ceremony for an estimated 390 candidates for graduation Aug. 4, 2017, at the HTC Student Recreation and Convocation Center on campus. In his remarks, commencement speaker John Hutchens, biology professor and ecologist, encouraged graduates to take time in the future to interact with nature and with other people. "In today's high tech world we are often racing along at breakneck speed, but being outside slows you down and allows you to experience the rhythms of nature," said Hutchens. "You can actually hear yourself think and you can be a part of something bigger than yourself."
