The following students have been named to the Dean's List at the University of New Hampshire for the fall semester of the 2013-2014 academic year.

The University of Scranton has announced it's Dean's List, which recognizes students for academic excellence during the 2013 fall semester. A student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours to make the Dean's List. The list includes students from the Jesuit university's College of Arts and Sciences, the Kania School of Management, the Panuska College of Professional Studies and the College of Graduate and Continuing Education. More than 1,380 students were named to the 2013 fall semester Dean's List, including the following area residents.

A total of 153 SUNY Oneonta students earned Provost's List honors for the fall 2013 semester. To qualify for the Provost's List, students must earn a perfect 4.0 GPA while carrying a course load of 12 hours or more.

A total of 1569 SUNY Oneonta students earned Dean's List honors for the fall 2013 semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher while carrying a course load of 12 hours or more.

The State University of New York at Potsdam recently named 412 students who excelled academically in the Fall 2013 semester to the Dean's List.

The State University of New York at Geneseo has announced its Dean's List for the fall semester 2013. To be on the list, a student must have achieved a 3.5 grade point average while taking at least 12 credit hours. Students on the list from this area are:

Lebanon Valley College named 658 undergraduates to its Dean's List. The students maintained a 3.4 average out of a possible 4.0.

The following local residents are part of a group of Union College students studying abroad during the college's winter break.

SUNY Oneonta announced the winners of endowed scholarships given each year to students within the college's Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. Recipients were honored at the department's 37th annual Majors' Night on Oct. 9.

The State University of New York at Potsdam has awarded scholarships, grants and awards to 1,047 students for the 2013-14 academic year. These accomplished SUNY Potsdam undergraduate and graduate students were recognized for their achievements with support for their educational experience.

James Madison University's orientation team is made up of outstanding upperclass students who serve as first year orientation guides (FrOGs). FrOGs assist incoming first-year students in their academic, personal and social transition and serve as a representative of JMU throughout the university's 1787 August Orientation. They are legendary on campus for their annual FrOG dance.

The following students have enrolled in RIT's National Technical Institute for the Deaf, the nation's first and largest technological college for deaf and hard-of-hearing students.

More than 35 high-achieving first-year students have been named Dean's Business Scholars by the Frank G. Zarb School of Business. The program is designed to provide students with special opportunities to engage with faculty and industry executives to help them build their leadership skills.

Approximately 1,100 new students, selected from more than 12,000 applicants, began their studies at SUNY Oneonta this fall. Classes began on Wednesday, Aug. 28. The SUNY Oneonta Class of 2017 is exceptionally talented and diverse, said Roger Sullivan, the college's associate vice president for enrollment management. The freshman class has an average high school grade-point average of 91 and an average combined math and critical reading SAT score of 1135. Acceptances of AALANA (African American, Latino, Asian and Native American) students were up 11.3% this year, and for the first time, AALANA students accounted for 1 in 5 new freshmen and transfer students. Morrisville State College recently announced those students who were named to the Dean's List for the Spring 2013 semester. To be named to the Dean's List, a student must achieve an average of 3.0 to 3.99 for the semester and complete 12 credit hours.

The following local residents are among the 998 students who graduated from SUNY Oneonta following the spring 2013 semester. The college's commencement ceremony was held on Saturday, May 18.

The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce that about 3,800 undergraduates have qualified for the Spring 2013 Dean's List. The students represent nearly all of Rhode Island's cities and towns, all six New England states, New York and New Jersey, and many other states and nations.

The State University of New York at Potsdam recently named 377 students who excelled academically in the Spring 2013 semester to the Dean's List.

Area students were recently named to the Dean's List for outstanding academic achievement during the spring 2013 semester at SUNY Canton. "Congratulations to our Dean's List students for the spring 2013 semester! The provost, deans, faculty and I are very proud of the way you applied your best efforts to the semester's coursework," said SUNY Canton Acting President Joseph C. Hoffman. "The work ethic and the enthusiasm for learning you develop here at the College will serve you well in your professional careers after graduation." Student-Athletes named to the Commissioner's List have a minimum of a 3.3 GPA based on three semesters at Potsdam.

Student-Athletes named to the All-Academic Team have a minimum of a 3.3 GPA for the Spring 2013 semester.

A total of 45 SUNY Oneonta students received 2013 Senior Service Awards recognizing their commitment to volunteerism. Seniors who completed at least 350 hours of service through the college's Center for Social Responsibility and Community (CSRC) were recognized during a reception on May 17.
